Unfortunately, no... I think both Richards were dead by then.

George loved The Band though, and rightly so. There's an interview with him on the "Classic Albums" DVD on their second album (much like the one they did for Dark Side of the Moon, highly recommended).

I never got too excited about The Band. Just a tad too...hillbilly or something.

Yeah, I'm not major on Southern rock, but there are the exceptions...R.E.M., Widespread Panic, The Band, etc etc
