| Roger's father I've heard that Roger's father was influential in shaping the way Roger would come to feel about the world and the people in it. Is this true? Could somebody please explain how Roger's father fits into all of this?

| Re: Roger's father Eric Fletcher Waters was killed at Anzio in 1944, six months before Roger was born. So obviously not having a father impacted his childhood negatively (see The Wall film), and consequently impacted his view of the world. Make sense?

| Re: Roger's father It's a great track with great lyrics actually, i love it particularly in the beginning of the movie.

| Re: Roger's father Quote:
This brings up a good question. This website has Rog's birthday listed as being in 1943, which would be 6 months before EFW bought the farm. So was Rog born in '43 or '44? I've seen both years given as his DOB, depending on where you look.

| Re: Roger's father Corny? I think it's rather poignant. I doubt the Germans had any actual panzer units there at the time, but having "Tigers" kill EFW is a helluva lot more dramatic than having him nailed by a sniper while taking a whiz in the woods.

| Re: Roger's father AAJ, you seem to be creating a lot of threads that inquire of general knowledge of Floyd. I think if you just read some stuff you'll find all your answers. A lot of this is pretty common knowledge of Floyd history. Which is fine, but all these threads aren't necessary, really. |
