How did it end?

Newb question.

Been reading notes and quotes from the band's history all day but haven't really found anything that describes just "how" the band ended up dissolving...if that's the right word for it.

What's sad is reading some of Dave's quotes during the time of the PULSE release....talking about how he would be surprised if the band didn't come out with a new album and tour in the next couple of years.

Well, that's exactly what happened. For whatever reason, after PULSE, the band just drifted away.

But why? And how? Nick Mason and Rick Wright describe a feeling that the band was functioning again with the release of the Division Bell...how they were working better together than they had in years.

Why did that end? With the band having, no pun intended, high hopes with these new releases, why didn't they continue past 1995?

Dave couldn't be arsed anymore, he decided to produce some kids instead of albums.

Re: How did it end?

Nick had cars to race and Rick's eyelashes got too long. Roger remains a militant, energised figure, sort of.

Basically, it appears to be the truth.
