The ones i love are Genesis, Jethro Tull, The Who, Floyd of course, and a bunch of other stuff like Peter Gabriel, Roger Waters, Mark Knopfler, Bob Dylan. And many more.

I'm trying to get him to check out some neo-prog...but he's been hesitant.

Anyways...GnR are alright, I don't think they are wonderful or terrible. I only have "Appetite for Destruction," and that's enough for me at the moment. Perhaps I'll expand sometime later. Right now I'm busy exploring the neo-prog world.
