Re: Dimebag Dead.....

I was reading in this mornings paper that the police suspect that the killer (Nathan Gale --another name to live in infamy) was a longtime fan of Pantera and Dimebag, and pissed that Dime had broken up the band.

Just like M D Chapman was a longtime fan of Lennon but disgruntled with him, it's looking like Gale planned this out to emulate the Lennon assassination.

Re: Dimebag Dead.....

Not a huge pantera fan but dimebag certainly was an awesome guitarist. It sucks that there are so many lunatics in the world.

Re: Dimebag Dead.....

In the Mirror (British tabloid) they called him "Ozzy's Guitarist" in the headline. I shook my head in shame.

Re: Dimebag Dead.....

Seeings how the killer was a local man in my area, my city paper had a few good articles about it. (This jacka## went to the same high school as my wife!) Anyway here is the link www.examiner.org
There are several articles. Even one from a local guy who was there. After reading the main article, just go to the "news" section and you should be able to find "Local man recounts shooting" over to the left of the page.

not to mention the expiration date on gale's dr license:

now everybody think!...what day (of infamy) was it in england?

Re: Dimebag Dead.....

Horrible. I wasen't the biggest Pantera fan but he was always a presence, as long as I've been playing music (nine years, roughly). I had a certain respect for the man... and the way he was killed was despicable.

RIP Dimebag.
