How they may have sounded in the 80's had Roger not left

I'm curious as to what CD Pink Floyd mixes people have made.

I love every Pink Floyd album, but A Momentary Lapse of Reason and the Final Cut were never favorites of mine. I always felt that the former had too much Gilmour, it had pleasing music, but was a little boring, and the latter had two much Waters angst, interesting, but annoying after awhile. So I decided to fix this by merging both albums into one, using my favorite tracks from each. The result is, in my opinion, a much better album. Here is my track listing:

Signs of Life
Learning to Fly
One of the Few
The Hero Returns
One Slip
Possible Pasts
On the Turning Away
Get Your Filthy Hands off My Desert
The Fletcher Memorial Home
Yet Another Movie - Round and Around
Southampton Dock
The Final Cut
Not Now John
A New Machine (Part One)
Terminal Frost
Paranoid Eyes
A new Machine (Part Two)
Sorrow
Two Suns in the Sunset

Of course, I had most of the tracks merge in true Pink Floyd style. There's actually a bit of a concept going on too. It could be thought of as the story of a young man being born, growing up, going off to war, getting injured, and descending into a depression. It takes a little imagination and stretching to get that from it.

What Pink Floyd compilation albums have you made?

Oh and by the way, both albums are completely different so i think it would be most inaproppiate to put the songs on an album together.

agreed.... although I have personally been tempted to put songs from Gilmour and Wright's first solo albums onto one cd, simply to see how well they go together and how different they sound to say "The Wall" or "Pros and Cons" ..... never bothered though.

Very weak

The song "Signs of Life" clearly reminds of the successful beginning of "Wish You Wee Here", but is a mere pale re-make. Indeed, only signs of life in it. Very good Freudian "slip of the tongue".
