Rolling Stone top 500

Here's the link:
http://www.rollingstone.com/news/sto...96661/500songs

This is the list of the 500 best songs - PF is represented with three songs:

314 Comfortably Numb
316 Wish You Were Here
375 Another Brick in the Wall Part 2

Is this a total rip-off or what!

I'd say Wish (which is my favourite PF-track) should be at least in top-10!

Take a look.

The usual, meaningless, subjective list of nonsense.

I hope you don't mind me saying this but this list is horrible! I remember a list featuring guitarists that was just as horrible. I read it on this site if i remember correctly.

I don't see the point of top 100 or whatever lists. Why should anyone care what some magazine thinks is the best?

500 best in who's opinion?

Interesting how heavily it is weighted to Bob Dyland and the Beatles.

Elvis gets lots of exposure here, which is a good thing....but they left out some impressive groups. Where's Genesis? Where's Peter Gabriel in there? Those 3 pink floyd songs don't even scratch the surface, what about Money?

While the music contained in that list is, for the most part, good, there are glaring omissions.

Yeah Genesis should be on there with Firth of Fifth at least, that's one of the best songs ever made.

Rolling Stone is bollocks and nobody should be bothered to read, or care about their stupid lists, or anything else they publish.

It's like they just picked a bunch of popular singles over the past 40 years and arranged them in a random order.

Makes sense. Smells like Teen Spirit is definitely a better song than Stairway to Heaven, Wish you Were Here, or Let it Be.

This is a typical Rolling Stone list. They have this idea that Nirvana is this generation's beatles and every list has that song or group right at the top

Rolling Stone has had it's head up it's arse for years, I wouldn't use it to wipe my backside with.

Sorry, but Genesis suck. No way in hell do they deserve to be on there.
