Re: Last Song You Played (with an instrument)

I've been rehearsing with my band for two days so the last thing that I have played is Bhangeerah's complete setlist.

I have also played a bit of "Purple Rain" and Tori Amos' "Winter" on my Spanish guitar.

Re: Last Song You Played (with an instrument)

Tried to remember how a couple of riffs from Deep Purple's 'Bloodsucker' went. Managed to make them sound decent after some time and a broken string. I'm *a bit* rusty. And so are the strings, apparently.

"Just the Way You Are" by Billy Joel on the ol' Casio. Bit of a laff, really...

I also like that song!

Talking about 70's pop songs I've been playing Abba's "Dancing Queen" on my Spanish guitar. It was mostly arpeggios trying to imitate some piano and vocal parts while playing the chords. It was fun.

Re: Last Song You Played (with an instrument)

Okay, so after thinking about it for some time I went out yesterday and bought myself a keyboard controller (for use with soft samples)...with no prior education in piano playing. I'm determined to teach myself (or at least get started on my own).

I've already got the intro to Radiohead's "Everything In The Right Place" down (not too hard to learn since it's mostly chords). Can anyone recommend a place online I could get piano tabs for free? How about some Pink Floyd ones?

"Sad-Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" by Bob Dylan. On the shitty nylon-string acoustic I keep at work.

Re: Last Song You Played (with an instrument)

For some reason I've been playing arpeggio arrangements on my Spanish guitar of the following songs:

"Baby One More Time" -Britney/Travis
"Crazy in Love" -Beyonce
"Without You" -Badfinger/Nilsson
"Like a Virgin" -Madonna

My mates in the band are beginning to get worried...

Hi Shane!

I've learned to play "Careless Whisper" on guitar and insistently torture anyone who will sit idly by for me screeching the sax riff at the top of my lungs.
