actually, i am not a fan of metallica by any stretch of the imagination. and some drugs can have that affect. what do you know about drugs? what you learned in school? i love people who make judgements on things they know nothing about. things like heroin and crack, yes, can be very bad.

and i thought metallica was just a fad of no substance?

ANY NARCOTIC DAMAGES YOU IN SOME WAY. No, I never have taken drugs, but I do have this: it's a little thing I picked up, you may or may not have heard of it: COMMON SENSE. Let me put it this way: it's a proven medical fact that narcotics damage your health. It's also a proven medical fact that climbing up on the roof and jumping off onto concrete over and over again is damaging to your health. After seeing many friends turn to drugs--refer to the roof metaphor--it's COMMON SENSE (look it up) that it's not exactly the best idea.

You don't have to go out and do weed, crack, heroin, whatever to know it messes you up. People aren't that...well, people aren't that stupid.

And no, I didn't learn all of this in school or by any church program. Remember the roof metaphor? Pretend that's drugs. I've had several friends whom I've watched "jump off the roof" (do drugs, even weed and just sniffing paint) and it damaged their health, minds, and lives badly. All you have to do is watch someone jump off a roof (do drugs) once in order to see how much it messes them up--it's not a bright idea to go try it yourself to see how much it hurts. (That common sense thing, remember? )

such are the thoughts of a narrow minded person. you enjoy your mediocre life, the secrets of the world are not meant for you. neither is a clear mind. you enjoy your coffee and your job and support your loving government and follow your good book, just like they tell you to. its all for the best.

knowledge IS power, no matter what they tell you.

Ah, the "You just..." comments of someone proven wrong. How refreshing they are with a cup of coffee at work in the afternoon. Anyway, I got none of that from what "they" told me. I got it from watching my friends (well, friends in spirit, they're gone in a sense now, thanks to ___________ fill in the blank) do drugs and basically get ruined by it. You can't stand it can you?

I think I'll try your "You just..." logic. You just live in your fantasy land and narrow-mindedly pretend I got this from "them" (whoever you're referring to--school? Haven't been in YEARS) and live in "peace."

So Bud, you're saying that a lot of your friends turned to drugs after knowing you for a while? Hmmm...

Anyway, religion has been solely reponsible for more deaths than all wars put together, many of which were also caused by said misplaced optimism/weak mindedness.

WHAT does religion have to do with this topic? I got none of this knowledge from the Bible or any church. What's your trip?

It's funny that you choose now to shy away from it.

I'm not shying away from anything. What is "it?" What am I shying away from? Religion? If this were a religious topic, I'd still say I got none of this knowledge from the Bible or any church. And if you have nothing better to do than, when proven wrong, decide to attack someone's religious and personal beliefs and experiences, start an "Insult Bud" topic. I don't mind.

No. I imagine after all this time that you're quite used to it. And rightly so.

Drugs are good, enough said. If you don't like it, don't do it.

And don't bloody harp on about it if it's a subject that you have zero personal knowlege of. So your friends have done it? Fair enough. Some of them died? A few less morons. The world is a lighter place.
