i use religion as a metaphor for how little you know beyond your own little world. as for your electric fense thing, i have said that certain drugs, when misused, can be terrible. crack and methamp i am NOT a fan of. i said nothing of prescipts. mushrooms are illegal. marijuana is illegal. lsd will find you charged with "conspiracy against the government". i wonder why that charge?

I can see all of your points on this subject, though I may heartily disagree with some of them, they are all valid points.

Why bash religion? What does it have to do with this topic? Why say someone is shying from a subject when you're doing the same?

I didn't know about that LSD/Conspiracy Against the Government thing. Interesting. But still, it seems to me that YOU are the one living in your own little world, insisting it's government and religion that gave me my ideas.

i use religion because you know nothing outside of christianity. everything has to relate back to that. there is so much to this incredible world, you should learn as much as you can, and not judge before you know enough to judge CORRECTLY.

Again (though you'll just return to your fantasy world): I don't get my ideas from any religion whatsoever, it's common sense and personal experience.

Good (brave) post, the_madcap_laughs, and I would agree with most of what you've said. Very sensible attitude.

However, (you knew that was coming, didn't you?) do you know how BORING it would be to hang around somebody LSD tripping when you're not? I do, it's the pits.

And as regards bad trips, someone using may be level-headed or experienced enough to handle and relieve a bad-tripper. Again, that's me with whacking great knobs on.

What one NEVER does - poor, poor Syd - is give anyone ANYTHING without their knowledge - just for jollies - or against their will. That's bad, m'kay.

Jumping off rooves is bad, m'kay. So, is grabbing electrified fences, amongst other things electrified, m'kay.

People who use drugs so badly, so insensibly, so unmindfully they die, are a benefit to the human gene pool - I'm sorry, it had to be said - so long as they haven't reproduced, that is.
