coolest album cover?

Believe it or not, Relics has at least 5 different covers on vinyl

I don't see the almighty greatness of the DSotM cover. Maybe it's just me. I bet it is.

No, I agree with you (EYEWITNESS). I mean, it's a cool cover, but it's not amazing.

In Canada we got the lameass bottlecaps version... I like Nick's all-black-and-white pen drawing cover best, personally.

while i really dig the Darkside cover, for some reason i'm compelled to vote for the Wish You Were Here. Something about the two men just strike me in a wierd place

the vinyl hounds might also remember the LP ' a nice pair ' which featured small snapshots on front & back cover

the album was a reissue of ' piper ' & ' ASOS ' together

I voted for wywh. I think division bell and dsotm would come right after that.

WYWH...for some reason I've always felt very drawn to it. It just seems to say so much with just one picture (perhaps a 1000 words?). Second would be Ummagumma, just because it's cool.

It's a credit to Hipgnosis that they created such a variety of fantastic covers. From Ummagumma's windows in windows to AHM's cow and WYWH's burning man to TDB heads, they have always created stunning peices to compliment the music (well ok everyone slips up and Meddle was decided on down a phoneline). But by far their best is also their simplest DSOTM. (This also far outstrips the non Hipgnosis ones TW, TFC, TPATGODa nd Nick's original Relics)

I was just wondering why we are talking about album covers what the hell is the cover of OBC?
