Yeah...cynical indeed! Obviously that's one thing--but I also know that there is a great power in words...so much that I believe that it means even more than things like that. A cheque can say nothing about finding oneself in tears because of a moment of musical beauty...

Me too. I read an interview with Vinnie Jones recently during which he related an annecdotal story of the time somebody ran over both wheels on his top of the range mountain bike. The car owner and the afore-mentioned non-acting ex-footballer exchanged details and a week later,a cheque through arrived through the mail for the princely sum of one pound.

I bet that brought tears to his eyes.

Anyway, back to the topic!

Cheers,

Mark

Writing fanletters, isn't that something that young girls and gay wrestling fans do?

Hey piss off Not Now John, I think it's a good idea. Go listen to "Amused To Death" and keep your yap shut.

Well, looks like NNJohn is vying (again?) for the title of Most Contentious Poster.

"Young girls, and gay wrestling fans?" Hmmm...

Sorry- I'll never relinquish my position.

But feel free to keep trying.

But aren't all wrestling fans latent homosexuals anyway?

Cheers,

Mark

ps-It's not real wrestling, incidentally. I know all you Americans'll get "antsy" about it, but it isn't. It's stupid.

Re: ITAOT Background Singing

Well... He wouldn't get that much in royalties, considering it was mainly Waters writing all the songs. I'm glad you're writing a letter to him showing your appreciation - he certainly deserves more of it than he's been getting.
