Obscured by Clouds is amazing

Hahahaa, no it certainly wouldn't!!!!

OBC is the only Pink Floyd album i dont have. Does it have an early Pink Floyd sound like Piper at The Gates of Dawn or a more later sound. I like both, but just want to know what to expect.

I'd say neither early nor late Floyd. It completely different, but I guess it compares best to More. very refreshing and intense at different times from beginning to end. I am now getting it on UK Harvest vinyl. I bet it rocks even better on a turntable!!!!!

I got a question; when the crescendo of "Absolutely Curtains" builds to its climax there's a little vocal effect in there. It sounds like a female is saying it, but I can't make out what it says. On a wild guess I thought she was saying "His eyes!" but I've no clue. Does anyone know what it is?

And yes, it is a fantastic album.

I just got this album a few weeks ago and I'm amazed at how much I like it. It's a really frickin' good cd man. . . .and woman.

I saw the original movie for sale at a local record store.. $10

I'm listening to it again right now(I literally just started). Mudmen is one of Floyd's best instrumentals and every track besides Absolutely Curtains is great, and hey, AC is still pretty good.

I've just been reading the posts, and OBC is one of my favorites... and I have a weird list. But the Final Cut is among them, because it picks up after the Wall, there's a strange brevity in it. You have to listen to that one... But right now I'm listening to Leaving Beruit.... hmmm.

Indeed, Obscured By Clouds is a gem.
