pictures in "final cut"

Well, it's been a long time since I bought "the final cut" and I always wondered if these 3 pictures inside the cover ( you know: the flowers and the tree, the japanese flag with sparks and the view from inside a car) had a meaning... Do anyone could explain that to me? Did Roger himself have once speak about that or something ?

I'm sure these have some sort of meaning, I'm not sure specifically what it is, but they do seem related to the tracks on the album. The one with the Jap flag has to do with "The Post War Dream" and its mention of Japanese kamikaze fighters, while the view from inside the car I believe has to do with "Two Suns in the Sunset". Read the lyrics to these songs and decide for yourself. That's my best guess.

The Japanese flag with the sparks behind it refers to Roger's digust with the English for contracting out their shipbuilding industry to the Japanese in the early 1980's.
