Iron Maiden

Any Iron Maiden fans? Im starting to get into them now because my friend mike is obsessed with them and thats all he ever talks about. So today he let me borrow his IM greatest hits album. Its a very good cd, the Trooper is an awsome awsome song.I like how they they double up on the guitar playing (thats my way of describing it), its sweet, especially during solos.

I went through an Iron Maiden phase when I was about 10. Thanks to them, I started playing music myself.

Funnily, although I was metal all the way through my teen years, I never got into Maiden. Some classic tunes, though.

I think Mother likes them. I dig some of their stuff, don't own anything though.

They're not bad...but not really my type.

I once knew an Austrian exchange student who was majorly into Iron Maiden.

I love Iron Maiden, you're in luck.

Recommendations:

Number Of The Beast (has to be heard, a metal classic. Certainly not Maiden's best, however).
Piece Of Mind (One of their most technically proficient records.)
Iron Maiden (Their debut (with D'ianno). Metal riffs and drumming matched with punky bass and vocals. Very good.)
Killers (Second Maiden record (again with D'ianno). Despite lacking a truly knock out epic/classic, it's fantastic.)
Brave New World (One of their easily accessible records. Lots of energy.)

I saw Maiden in Liverpool on the same bill as Saxon and Tygers of Pan Tang way back in the day. Saxon blew them away frankly.

The Tygers were awful, Saxon slightly less so.

Iron Maiden > Your behind.
Saw them live at the Roskilde festival 2003, and I'm seeing them again on the 29th of June next year.

iron maiden
n.
A medieval instrument of torture consisting of an iron frame in the form of a person in which the victim was enclosed and impaled on interior spikes.

No, Don't think I'd like that too much.
