The members of Spinal Tap actually appeared on stage at some pop festival I was at ( can't remember which one), but the organisers thought it would be a bit of light relief for the audience between the main bands. What they didn't count on was a group of Heavy Metal fans ( Hells Angels from High Wycombe....fun lovin bunch of guys...real party people) who started pelting them with bottles and cans. I was not involved in that!! Anyway, I don't remember them making any other appearances after that. I really liked the movie and I still think some of the bits are priceless even after all these years. The bits with the volume on the amps ( it goes to 11), getting lost backstage, and the Stonehenge bit....all quite amusing.

I'm sure all rock groups saw themselves somewhere in the movie. I heard "our boys" viewed the Stonehenge thing as a direct spoof on The Wall.

It's a nice movie, i seem to have forgotten about the stonehenge part. What was that about again?

Nigel writes down the wrong dimensions for the stonehenge monument, and ends up writing it in inches, instead of feet. So they have this mini stonehenge monument on the stage.
