Could you possibly explain why you think those albums are shite? I ask because I have NEVER seen a convincing argument on such grounds.

| Re: If Roger had remained... Look, there is not convincing arguments if one think that this is good and that is bad, or the other way round. I for one never seen a convincing argument on why TDB would be bad, but so what? It's matter of taste of course, I could go on for hours blathering about how much I find the music on P&C dull and boring but of course this would not change your mind. And actually there's plenty of threads debating vastly on the subject.

I also think P&C and Radio Krapos are shite but there you go. Horses for courses, you could never explain to my satisfaction why they aren't shite. I have ears, I can hear and I know what I like. |

| Re: If Roger had remained... P&C is no shite because it is a very unique album. Very often people make the mistake of looking at the album like it's a regular album with a bunch of tracks on it. When you do that you will find it annoying that the same melody keeps returning over and over again. It is essential that one does not listen to this album track by track. But treats the album as if it is 'one track'. When you are able to look at it that way you will find that it is an amazing piece of art. Mostly comparable with Jethro Tull's 'Thick As a Brick or 'A Passion Play'. Those are albums that concist out of one or two tracks and therefor are not that accessible but nevertheless very brilliant. Personally i think that people like TDB more than TFC or P&C because those albums are not accessible. And TDB is much more accessible for the casual listener. And of course it's all a matter of opinion. But in my opinion it remains a fact that P&C and TFC are both amazing works of art and the more accessible TDB does not even come close to touch their brilliantness.

That's debatable and anyway "unique" doesn't automatically = good. |

| Re: If Roger had remained... True but in P&C's case it's unique in such a way it's an amazing piece of art.

| Re: If Roger had remained... You've already compared it to two other albums so I'd hardly call it unique. |

| Re: If Roger had remained... It's unique in its presentation, but granted, the idea of a 45-minute rock song is certainly nothing new. The lyrics alone justify the price of entry to PCHH. Plus the guitar, sax and drum chops are absolutely fabulous. Quote:
