I had a profound revelation about the meaning of DSOTM about a year ago. It's pretty much the same as everybody elses but it really hit me hard when I REALIZED it, you know?

I know exactly what you mean. It took me until about a year after I bought DSOTM to really enjoy and understand it. I think its because the themes are very general, and something needs to happen in your life so that you can relate to the album on a personal level.

Yes, indeed. I feel like saying "hey, I remember that guy!" when I read my old posts here. It's occasionally very pleasing to find that my current viewpoints still agree with my old ones.
