What Does This Mean?

I think it means somthing like when something happens to someone else, you just tell them to get over it and shit, but when it happens to you, you are crushed. I also like the other ones

i think it means that you can try your hardest to do what everyone expects of you and still never get a pat on the back,
but you will never be able to satisfy your "own" self because no one gave you a chance, in my world I did it 3 times and no pat on the back, good luck!
