Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Films?

At last. Someone else who doesn't think Apocolypse now is any cop. I just don't get the hoohah about the thing.

I'm not too sure about a top ten or five, but I will tell you that, although I imagine most of you will have seen it, Duece Bigalow: Male Gigilo actually had me almost helpless with laughter the first time I saw it. Eventually, my girlfriend was laughing at me, rather than the film, such was my amusement.

Cheers,

Mark

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Films?

Apocalypse Now is without doubt an epic film with stunning cinematography but really, it's a boring wheeze which bears very little resemblance to the very impressive book.

fixxy: perhaps she was laughing at you because you're so funny looking.

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Films?

It's "LIKE a kindly uncle" son.

Although the leather and the motorbike obviously go against that somewhat.

Werthers,

Mark

Come to think of it, I forgot to mention Easy Rider as a mild fave.

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Films?

My Favorite Movies:

1. A Clockwork Orange
2. Pi
3. Taxi Driver
4. Dark Side of the Rainbow
5. Trainspotting

most Stanley Kubrick Films

I liked American Beauty, why did you not like it? Reminded me quite a bit of The Great Gatsby, a pretty good book.. I don't think it deserves to be on any worst movie list, there are so many pieces of trash out there that blow it away in that category. What about something like Cabin Boy? I don't think you could make a more horrid movie..

Deuce Bigalow Male Gigalo? No offense, but I thought that was a pretty cheesy film.

Re: Favorite/Least Favorite Films?

The Great Gatsby huh? F. Scott Fitzgerald. Wasn't that about life in the "Roarin' 20's"? And "American Beauty" was about...uh... come to think of it, there was no solid plot--wait, it was about a disfunctional family. Like that's never been done. If I wanted to watch a disfunctional family, I'd watch "The Simpsons" or something.

DB:MG is a cheesy film. But, Christ it's funny. Anyone gone to see The Piano Teacher yet?

Cheers,

I dont really lik comedy programs, I like a lot of black metal, like Burzum and Bathory. IT's where all the true meaning s lie.
