I have a Yellow Submarine George doll(he came with a yellow submarine too).
When I heard George died, I placed him on the coffee table, lit a candle and played LONG LONG LONG (white album) on my guitar for him.
My family gave me strange looks- but I felt this was a way to pay my respects.

Why oh why oh why did I not buy that special colourway (?) Toby mug of George instead of only the John one?

This time next year, I could have been a millionaire.

i don't think thats bad. i don't go around calling everyone by their whole name. and just because someone is famous does not necessarily warrant a recital of the full name.

First, Monty, I usually refer to people like that with their first and last name.

Secondly: maybe you don't know how it feels to have someone's work change the way you look at things or feel. If you think about it, that's a pretty amazing thing, that a person, across an ocean, can change the way you feel through music.
So, when that person does pass away, some people tend to feel bad. Hell yes, I f***ing grieved when George died. I'm certainly not ashamed to admit it at all, and you can call me a freak all you want to (which isn't cool at all; calling a greiving person a 'freak' isn't the best sign of respect).

Incidentally, well done to Paul McCartney for finally sweeping Heather Mills off her foot!
