An inspired poem

A poem I wrote, inspired by recent events in my life....

Miserable
You delve into the valley of darkness.
Worthless
You feel small and insignificant.
Alone
No one can understand your pain.
Helpless
You are trapped in your cage of dispair.
Friends
You feel you have none
But that is not true

We are with you
And I will help you see it to the end.

You will be whole again
And I will be there with you to see it.

Llowell

It's beautiful, Llowey. Don't worry, you're no goth.

That's pretty generic.

Painfully generic, even.

C'mon Joey, if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it at all.

Perhaps it is just you that is painfully generic, Joey.

Thanks a lot Nisha, Lars, PinksWall!

I didn't even mean it to be an insult.
It just sounds like every other amatuer poem I've ever heard. I mean it's great for you if it's a way to release your emotions, but as far as poetry structure and originality goes, it is very generic. I am just being honest.

Joey, maybe you should try and write something better since you seem to be quite the poem expert.

Not everybody is going to love your poems. You can't live life so shallow and ignorant!

And I will post one of my poems.
