It ain't going to happen lads. Big Dave, The Uberfloyder has already plainly stated that they're getting too old to do the stadia anymore.

Sorry.

The thirty year anniversary of Dark Side would be a very ideal time to release another album though...wouldn't it.

Wishful thinking I know...

Hey rhiggatwat, **** off, we'll see what you look like when you're 57.

David has no plans whatsoever to resurrect Floyd, which he has said repeatedly over the last few months. For instance, in the November issue of MOJO, he said that he'd "quash any time you like" rumours that the group plan to end their seven year silence. "I can't see anything happening in the near future myself. I've been enjoying doing things on a differnt scale, downsizing quite a bit. I feel no need to go out and do a big tour again - if ever, at my hugely advanced age. It doesn't feel like the way I want to be spending my time. The desire to hit those stadiums hasn't come back, I'm afraid."

So don't hold your breath. These guys can't perform much longer at this point in any form. If you get a chance to see either David or Roger, you best go!!!

oooohhhhh..... big words from a big man.

when im fifty seven or however old he is i hope to be touring with my band just like mr. waters! anyway, mr. gilmour has the right to do whatever he wants with his life, its none of our business. id love to hear his acoustic show. and if he wants a bit of extra spaghetti on the side at dinner, thats all right with me as well.

"These guys can't perform much longer at this point". APL, why don't you tell that to the Stones.

Yeah I'm sure that there will be ANOTHER anniversary release.

However, I was thinking more along the lines of a new album...so they could say they've been releasing number one albums for thirty years ('cause any new album would go to number one everywhere I'm sure).

Anyway...like I said...VERY wishful thinking on my behalf.

Well, actually, the guys in Floyd are about the same age as the guys in the Stones. The Stones won't be around much longer either IMO. It will get to a point where they just physically can't handle touring anymore. Getting old, people start to have health problems. Even those that remain in good health are likely to lose interest in touring. While they still may be out there performing at age 55, the chances of them still doing the same at 65 are slim, but hey, who knows. There's no doubt however, that these guys are way past their prime and near the end of their careers. I was simply saying that you should go see them now, before the chance is gone. You never know what might happen or when their last tour may be. For PF, this likely is already past, unfortunately.

I'm sure that Jagger, Keef et al are about 8 to 10 years older than the blokes from The Fraud.

Yeah?

Ps- What's a Lusk anyway?

Cheers,

Mark

I don't think the guys in the Stones are THAT much older than our PF boys.

FYI: A "Mishter" Lusk was the businessman addressed in 1888 Whitechapel, London as the head of an East End Vigilance Committee (or something like that) in the now famous From hell letter - at the time widely believed to have been authentic -"Signed Catch me when you Can" or more popularly: Jack the Ripper.

Probably not the same reference, but "I just thought you'd like to know."

For the record, both Mr. Gilmour and Mr. Richards are 57 years old. Mr. Waters and Mr. Jagger are both 58.
