The US show I saw was awesome. Fewer theatricals, the emphasis definitely on the music.

Best song is hard to chose, but Dogs, Time and Comfortably Numb were pretty special.

Cheers

Re: Roger Waters - in the flesh-tour

I saw Roger three times when he toured America, and they each were amazing shows that I'll never forget. Like it's been said, the emphasis was on the music, and you could tell that Roger was happy to be out in front of an audience again. It truly worked the way Roger wants it to: a connection between the band and the audience.

As far as the songs go, which ones were the best? You want me to choose just a few?!! Hehe...well, I especially enjoyed everything he played from Amused to Death (Perfect Sense, Amused to Death, and other songs that I've never really bothered to learn the names of but I still love). You can tell that Roger loves those tunes because they belong more exclusively to him, I think. Besides that, Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun gave me CHILLS! Wish you Were Here and Welcome to the Machine were great as well. hell, it's all good! Be on the lookout for the amazing guitarist Doyle Bramhall.

Cheers!

In The Flesh ROX !! I mean the songs from Amused To Death were superb. Not to mention Breathe, Money and Comfortably Numb. I didn't like Shine On so much (I think they fiddled a bit too much with the tempo) and I'm head over heels in love with Each Small Candle. The drummer is sooooo cool. So is Snowy White and Doyle. All in all a MUST SEE!!

Re: Roger Waters - in the flesh-tour

As I have said before, ATD compares with Roger's best work when he was in Floyd.

except for whatever it is hes trying to do to his voice in it. he sounds like he wants to be bob dylan or sumthin'. i find it hard to listen to for that alone.
