Because 1 DVD has enough room, and that proves my point. Plus, 2 disc sets were very common for PS1 and they were easily marketed. Look, a DVD as a support cost almost nothing and this is a fact. And people buy multi disc sets because they always did and this is another fact.

Anyway, I have nothing against new technologies, nor against Blue Ray or any other support. I just don't believe that in the next generation we will need 100 GB, but actually, as long as retail prices don't rise, I don't give a f@ck.

Re: Videogames!

I've been getting into Pariah on xbox live. Halo 2 is good, but it's so full of Armchair Ultimates that it's not even a joy to play.

To be completely honest, I don't see what's so great about Halo. The only times I play the game is with a big group of friends maybe once a month, and that's enough for me. I even have the game at my house; I tried playing the campaign but I got tired of it after 20 minutes. And yes, I'm a fan of the FPS genre.

The biggest reason that there are few multi-disc games for the PS2 is because there is no point putting graphics in a game, or any other kind of detail in a game, when the machine is simply going to be incapable of processing it. If you can do more at one, you'll need more storage. Simple.

Ah, the man has a point. And with the next generation of consoles, they will be more capable, and thus be able to utilize higher, more complex data and graphics.

Console graphics are always going to be limited by the crappy resolution of the average tv screen, another reason why a pc is to be preferred.

Re: Videogames!

Indeed, if you want to get the most out of a next gen concole, you'll need to have a very decent HD-TV.

Re: Videogames!

consoles are always going to be a step behind PC's
the controllers are what gimp them the most in my opinion, gameplay wise at least.

Re: Videogames!

True, all that auto-aiming bollocks you get with a console just detracts from the game imo.

Re: Videogames!

FPS on consoles suck. I mean, I just hate having to use a controller trying to aim. A mouse is far more intuitive.
