| Videogames! In the past their has been some discussion on the subject videogames. Who here plays videogames? What are your favorite games and/or systems? My current favourite system is the good ol' PC. Just because the wonderfull Half Life 2. I purchased it yesterday and it was a bit of a gamble since i didn't know if my baby could handle all the action but she did and it runs (almost) perfect. Half life 2, who played it? If you didn't run to the store now. To qoute a magazine i read sometimes ''when you decide not to play this game you will have missed something wonderfull for the rest of your life'' Couldn't say it any better myself.

Whereas dossing about on this forum night and day isn't I suppose? I love video (PC that is) games. I'm currently playing through Half Life 2, I'm not sure it's as good as all the hype said it was (Far Cry is just as good I reckon) but it's still on of the best games currently available. |

The problem is, it really is as good. I haven't played Far Cry. I'll probably pick that up this week. But i seriously doubt it even comes close to HL 2's greatness. And you gotta admit it's better than 1.

It's maybe not as polished as HL2 but it's nowhere near as linear, you're free to tackle each level pretty much as you like whereas HL2 just ushers you down it's set pathways. It's still an awesome game mind and definitely better than 1. |

| Re: Videogames! Yeah i heard about the amazing freedom in Far Cry. But i also heard it get's pretty shitty towards the end. I'll get it this week and see for myself. I'm also wanting to get Doom 3.

| Re: Videogames! With video games, I go through phases. I won't spend 30 minutes one week on games, then the next I'll be glued to it. Right now I've been playing Goldeneye 2 quite a bit. I'm mainly a console gamer (PS2). We already talked about that in the other thread, it's because my computer is ancient, and I'm cheap. But in a year or so I'll hope to have saved up enough money to get a beastly laptop, and I'll have to get all of these great PC games I'm missing out on (HL2, Doom 3, Call of Duty, etc).
