Oh yeah, great game, best in the series I think.

I really want the second one. Do you have that one? If so, how is it?

It's good, but not as good as the first, I still recommend you play it though.

I have it and when you liked Max Payne 1, you'll LOVE 2.

I just found it more of the same really, still a great game though. Has anyone tried playing HL2 in the dark with headphones on? It's absolutely ****ing terrifying when the zombies and head crabs come after you!

Re: Videogames!

Funny enough i was playing it yesterday and i am around episode 6 where i am in some city with nothing but zombies and those horrible fast headcrabs coming after me. That combined with the very realistic graphics and all those sounds on the background did make it a bit scary.

Re: Videogames!

BTW i have played both Far Cry and HL 2 quite often now and both are great games. But still Far Cry doesn't even come close to HL 2.

Great, now I'm really jonesing for some Starcraft right now! Argh!
Dude, I love Startcraft too.

Try playing "Brood Wars" with OK Computer and Kid A for background music.

I swear, the music is MOST appropriate

By the way: This was how I got hooked on real bad to Radiohead

Re: Videogames!

I played Doom 3 a few times when I was visiting my cousin this summer (his computer can actually run games). The first time I played it, I was the only one awake, at about 2 in the morning, with my headphones plugged in, full blast. I swear, once things started happening, I was going to soil myself.

Has anyone played any of the Civilization games? I got the third one when it first came out, and nearly played it to death. Up until a couple days ago, I hadn't played it for almost a year. But I was very bored, saw it laying around, and now I've just emerged into the 20th century....(if you don't know, that take A LOT of playing to get that far).

Dude, if anything in this thread is worth mentioning, it's that Doom 3 is the scariest experience capable with all our immense technology. There isn't a single scary movie/game in existence that even comes close to Doom3's ability to strike DEEP fear into players.

Try playing it with a 5.1 set up. You can hear the fast zombies coming up behind you.... Scary as ****...
