Rick's George Washington University sweater

Aside from the Abbey's Road footage I also seen it in some Japan '72 photos. What was his interest in GW University? I would think it odd an Englishman wearing a college sweater for an American college, unless he went there(Which he didn't).

I wear an MIT sweater all the time... doesn't mean I went there, or want to go there, just that my dad bought me a sweater that's nice and warm and happens to say MIT on it. Right?

He probably just got it while touring the US.
