Saying 'Mechanical Animals' was his best album is like saying AMLOR is Floyd's best album. By the way can anyone actually name one song when Mr. Manson actually talks about satan. In 'Snake Eyes for Sissies' he say's "I got the devil's hand, rollin 6's." but that's hardly satanic. Then again it's probably satanic to the people who find Iron Maiden's 'Number of the Beast' satanic. You know the type, John Couger Mellancamp and Bruce Springsteen fans.

I agree with EugenesAxe, the more people hate something, the longer it will be around. So goes the saying about parents hate what children love and visa versa. I have been a fan of Manson's since their first album debuted. I still own the Mechanical Animals album, it's a more personal and meaningful album. I dont walk around in black with white face paint and piss on churches/old ladies/bibles/etc., but his beliefs did not change mine in any way. I am 50/50 with God, I think that he has a way to protect me, but at the same time a part of me dispises him for leaving us down here like wild animals to fend for ourselves. It makes me cuss to think that He has the power to stop all of this bullshit in the blink of an eye, but he'd rather sit back and watch it unfold. Look at yourself, all the bad things in your life, just think that there are billions of people who have problems too. And thats alot of pain in the world. How many times are you happy in a day? Now how many times are you sad or angry? The rate of depression is at an all time high. So God, why dont you stop it if you can? For the sake of your son. Later.

this is just me, but, i cant listen to lyrics about killing or anything like that for too long before i feel like i need to hit something. i have found that when i listen to hard music like system or manson i get pissed off and have a lot of negative energy, but when i listen to mellow music like phish, floyd or grateful dead, i get positive energy and i just feel better about myself and im just more laid back. i cant see how someone can listen to that music for more than a few times a week, but thats just me.

o and if you guys think i smoke pot cuz of the music i listen to or how i feel when i listen to it, i dont, i dont need weed to get me in a good mood, and i dont need weed to enjoy music, the music does it all for me.
