oh god....this is why organized religion is BAD.

"Although I don't see any possible way anybody could make good music attacking God."

yeah. i could name many, MANY songs that do. by great bands/artists (john lennon, nine inch nail, tool, too many to list). and im not saying whether i believe or not, im OPEN MINDED to other peoples opinions. thank GOD there are such people out there, or we would all be fucking mindless SHEEP being assfucked by the church. the same people who sent their own kids on a 'childrens crusade', whose missionaries enslaved native americans, and who generally look down upon everyone else. but the point is not to argue the merits of christianity. manson just screaming? metallica a fad? im not a fan of ether of the two, but have done great things. early metallica ain't bad (one?) and mansons 'antichrist superstar' and 'mechanical animals' are very worthwhile albums. of course, youve never heard them. what would your pastor think?

isnt sheep an incredible song?

All organized religion is bad? So you're saying people should not have a right to worship God? ........okay.
Oh no, I used to be a big Metallica fan until
the fad went away. As for Marilyn Manson, my brother was one of those dark and gloomy guys(before he joined the Army--weird ain't it?) and was really into Manson. It's all I heard blaring from his room and in the car when, unfortunately, I would be stuck with him. How
do I know about Manson's gimmick? Sometimes when there's a fad around like Ricky Martin or whatever, no matter how much you try to ignore it, you're going to see some little bit of it. Also, the reason I posted this was
not to start a religious debate, but while we're at it, to sterotype all religions as turning you into sheep is pretty narrow minded. It is true that some (hypocritical ones) just take you for your money, but the Bible says that greed is one of the seven deadly sins. But that doesn't mean all of them are. That's like saying because there are some Floyd songs you may not like, you have to hate all of them. But again this is not a religious post, it's a post that expresses how Marilyn Manson had no good music.

Okay, okay, I was a little out of my league by posting that Marilyn Manson was a fad. Though I may think that, I don't have to force everybody else into it. Guess I'll erase it.

yes, but you reason for manson not having any good songs is the hes "anti-god". coma white is a beautiful song. hes got many good songs. i dont find your reasons for calling him a "gimmick" as valid. they are not coming from a musicians point of view, but a religous point of view. 'mechanical animals' is a very pink floyd/david bowie influenced record, not a heavy metal slasher. it doesnt have to be your cup of tea, but its worth a listen before you throw him away as a 'fad'.

and i could argue with you on religion, and make you think twice about 'the good book'. if you want go there, i am more than happy. the christian religion in theory has many strong points, but modern christians are twisted and unthinking.

and i never said all religions. i happen to be a big fan of kabbalah, buddhism and shamanism.

peace and love,
-d

Nope. Not coming from a Christian's point of view, but from a fan of music's view. Again, stereotypical and narrow minded thinking.
Now I realize I can't say Marilyn Manson is terrible without stirring up some reilgious debate. Therefore, you won't hear from me on this topic anymore, just discuss it amongst yourselves.

When you say that Fixxy, you're not telling me anything new. Anyway, to everybody else, I was out of my league.
