Lightbulb NY Times article

I’m writing an article about Pink Floyd laser light shows, specifically looking at who went/goes to these. I’m interested in talking to fans about how these shows fit in with enjoying the band’s music, if at all. If someone has an experience at one of these shows they’d like to share please email me at: jasongeorge (at) nytimes.com. Thanks.

Well, it took about thirty seconds to check at the NYT and find out that there is, indeed, one Jason George on staff, so I'll assume you are who you say you are...

When I was a teenager, I went to see a laser show at a planetarium that featured DSotM. It was interesting, and I remember it well today, but I wouldn't bother again. Spacy lights go well with the music, but don't substantially affect my enjoyment one way or t'other.

I know I didn't mind anymore that all I could get were nosebleed seats at the new orleans dome for the ' division bell ' show after witnessing the light/laser show;

another thing I noticed from seeing floyd + waters shows is the ' rotating sound ' or ' pseudo-quadrophonic ' effect employed, - which works so well w/ floyd 's music

I went to a midnight PF laser light show about 15 years ago. I had to drive all the way across town to the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (Gates Planetarium). I got there about 11:40pm. It was already sold out. I was major-league pissed, and never tried again.
