Re: I'm Taking Pink Floyd to Court!!!

No I'm not, just thought that would grab your attention. But I do have a complaint against the music store I bought the CD package of "Ummagumma" from.
When I unwrapped the plastic stuff, I discovered that the deep green box in which the two discs are stored in were crunched and even torn in some places. I'm not a huge buff about music store policy, but will they replace the box?

Re: I'm Taking Pink Floyd to Court!!!

Um...the package is wrapped in clear plastic. Did you not see that the outer box was in tatty shape before you bought it? Or is it not the outer box that is damaged? I don't get your point. It seems like you should have just bought a different copy. I highly doubt the store will take it back. They won't even take back CD's that are factory defects, so I doubt they will take yours back.

A Perfect Lusk, the scratches and dents are at the bottom of the box. When you buy a new CD, they are locked in those white plastic things to prevent you from opening them before you pay for it. That's why I didn't see it.

Re: I'm Taking Pink Floyd to Court!!!

Because I want to replace the box, not the poster or discs, and if I worked in the store, I wouldn't want some crazy guy shouting about his green "Ummagumma" box. So, I just decided to come here and whine, which is what most people do here anyway.

Oh! And another note to A Perfect Lusk: "You should have just bought a different copy."
1) That was the only copy they had, trust me, I searched thoroughly.
2) How was I to know the scratches were there with the white plastic thing on it?

Okay, A Talking Head, I get what you are saying now. Do some stores still put CD's in those plastic things? I haven't seen those in ages. Oh well. Those things are a bitch. from now on, I'd ask to inspect the CD before you purchase it. They usually won't give you a problem. Once you buy it and open it, its too late.

Re: I'm Taking Pink Floyd to Court!!!

Yeah, down here, they're on every CD except used CD's and the only used Floyd album I bought was "A Collection of Great Dance Songs" and that was just because of its cover (it only cost me 3 bucks, I wasn't paying 16$ for a compilation because I like it's cover!). But anyway, I agree, I hate those plastic things.
