Well guys n gals i'm being nosey, whats the first song or cd you ever bought?
Mine was "Hit me with your rhythm stick" by Iain Dury and the Blockheads. This was when i was very young say about 4/5/6years old and i've still got it ,but, i haven't got a record player so i can't play it!
R.I.P Iain Dury

Rather embarrasingly an album called Rock n Roller disco, and I too don't have a record player and can't play it, what a shame! Just for good measure I left it at my parents house when I bought my own place.

I forgot to add it was 1979, I was 6 years old. The only songs I can remember that were on it are The Boomtown Rats - I don't like mondays and Buggles - Video Killed The Radio Star

ooohhh shit the boomtown rats "Tell me why i don't like monday remind me of my first day of school. though not very apt when thinking what the song is realy about. Funnily enough i used to be in a right daze when another brick in the wall was number 1 back in xmas 79/80 so my mum said. It must've been an omen for me to get into floyd!

I think this has been done before but what the hell. The first single I ever bought was The Groover by T-Rex, the first album was Meaty Beaty Big And Bouncy by The Who. Cds were still some way off at this point in time, in fact I do believe Eddy was still listening to his fave bands on wax cylinders.
