I thought there was going to be another Spaceballs, a prequel in fact.

Re: history of the world part 2?

I love Mel Brooks' films. Some are not quite as good as the "classics", but History of the World was good and Spaceballs too IMO. Apparently a new Spaceballs is in the works and should be released in the same period of Revenge Of The Sith.

Really? I don't think it will be the same without John Candy...

Re: history of the world part 2?

AWESOME! Spaceballs is a classic. I hope the sequel lives up to the first one, but they rarely do..

Re: history of the world part 2?

You know not of what you speak. I haven't been fond of Robin Hood:MIT or Dracula: DALI, but Spaceballs and especially History of the World are hilarious.

Then there are his classics, which have been mentioned various times.

Re: history of the world part 2?

I hated Robin Hood: MIT at first, but it grew on me after a few viewings. Mel Brooks classic? No, but I like it.

Blazing Saddles, Young Fankenstein, and History of the World were his best IMO.

I put Silent Movie, High Anxiety, The Producers, and Spaceballs in a slightly lower class.

The shit Dracula film was just that, shit. Although it did have Harvey Korman.
