As you know, on the cover of the Live Album of "Ummagumma" (can we not get into an argument about what the word means THIS time?) there are two roadies, Alan Stiles ("Alan's Psyechedlic Breakfast") and Peter "Putty" Watts (one of the voices on "Dark Side of the Moon", passed away in 1976). But which one is which?

I believe Ummagumma means the beast with two backs, the horizontal mambo, you get the picture.

I can't change your opinion of what the word means and there's no way you're changing mine. If you want to continue this pointless bickoring please send me a Private Message. I posted this thread to answer a question and that question was not "What does Ummagumma mean?"

ATH,

I'm not bickering, dude, nor trying to change your opinion. Wouldn't dream of it, but I also don't intend engaging in a private message correspondence either.

And even though you may start a forum, or several at a time, you do not own them and cannot dictate how others may use them. Thanks.

I never said or claimed (nor did you say I did) to be the owner of this forum, and certainly am not. But don't you think it would get you just a tincy bit annoyed when nobody answers your question--THE PURPOSE OF THE TOPIC!!!! I'm driving only three wheels these days--but my dear, how about you?

No, though my patience is often sorely testd, I do not get even the teensiest bit annoyed when my questions receive no answer.

And since I haven't actually mentioned Ummagumma this time round - uh oh, I just have - the flames of your ardour shall receive no further oxygen from me on this topic, thank you.

Fixxy, how does that answer my question? Did I ask what it means? I asked which one is Alan Stiles and which is Peter Watts.

I thought both of them were wearing pants.
