Noiseless Pickups

Hey, I ahve like $50 to musiciansfriend.com, and thought that maybe a new set of pickups may be the best thing I could use. Of course this would cost more than $50, but I could spend some. I was looking at the noiseless pickups and wanted to know what you guys thought of them. I'm currently using an affinity squier, and wasn't sure if it would be worth my money. Also if anyone has some better ideas on what to buy, I could use some suggestions. The pickups just seemed the most obvious, and I want to use this gift certificate before it expires heh.

I have the "noiseless" pickups on my Deluxe, and must say they sound good. They seem to have a bit less gain than regular pickups, which may partly explain the "noiselessness", but that's what a volume knob is for. As i understand, they have a 2-part coil winding on each pole... like a mini humbucker.

I'm always reluctant to recommend anything to anybody....not wanting to be responsible for someone else's disappointment.

Go try out a strat with the noiseless PU's @ your local guitar shop and see what you think.
