No US tour 1969
i searched and found nothing on this. In all of the floyd info I have looked up, no one has ever said why Pink Floyd did not tour america in 1969. I would think that with the US being the largest market, the band would want to try and get as established there as they could. Are there any reasons why the band didnt tour the US in 1969?

Maybe because they didn't think they had a large enough following in the US yet.

they didn't have much of a US following untill DSoTM

Well... they had just finished a Stateside tour in the summer of 1968 to promote A Saucerful of Secrets. It wasn't considered worthwhile to go back to the US so soon until they had a proper album to promote (which they did, with Atom Heart Mother in 1970). But they did play tonnes of shows all over Britain throughout 1969. Which I guess is because it was their home market and people would go to see them anyway.
