Your Poems

If you have a poem that you wrote and want to get it posted then post it here. I've been realizing that there are a lot of people who write poems and post it but they always start a new thread well i hope that this thread will fix that.

I just wrote this poem a few minutes ago so here it is....

(Perfect Isolation)

I'm just sitting here
I do not dare
to go anywhere
from my perfect isolation

I am just sitting there
not listening because i don't care
because of my perfect isolation

I'm just here all alone
because i have no phone
and I need no loan
for my perfect isolation

I am laying in my bed
because I am brain dead
from all of this dread
in my perfect isolation

I am standing in the corner
because they say I'm a loner
in my perfect isolation

and in this perfect isolation
I have powers of observation
which give me visions
but there is confusion
of devotion
in my perfect isolation

Hmm strange idea to put on entire section of the forum in one post. Do you want the Piper to just delete the poem section then?

And then people will have to read through pages of poems if they want to find a particular one, instead of just reading the title of the thread.

i ment ones that just popped into their head. not poems that they thought of listening to pink floyd. or from reading other poems.

I was under the impression that the poems section was for any type of poems, not just ones inspired from listening to Pink Floyd or reading another poem.

It's one of the most horrible ideas i ever heard frankly.

Skylicker... this entire fora is set aside foe our members poetry and lyrics. Each SHOULD have it's own thread so we may comment on each one individually and find it more easily in the search feature.

The is my favourite poem. I have been hearing this peom for five years.
The poem name is "one inch tall".

If you were only one inch tall, you'd ride a worm to school.
The teardrop of a crying ant would be your swimming pool.
A crumb of cake would be a feast
And last you seven days at least,
A flea would be a frightening beast
If you were one inch tall.

If you were only one inch tall, you'd walk beneath the door,
And it would take about a month to get down to the store.
A bit of fluff would be your bed,
You'd swing upon a spider's thread,
And wear a thimble on your head
If you were one inch tall.

You'd surf across the kitchen sink upon a stick of gum.
You couldn't hug your mama, you'd just have to hug her thumb.
You'd run from people's feet in fright,
To move a pen would take all night,

Woke up this morning
What did I see?
a million crying babies
pointing their fingers at me

Born an american child
What does that mean?
to see a world suffering
bonded to slavery

Woke up the next morning
What did I see?
a million starving children
pointing their fingers at me

Come sit at my table
Fill your bodies with health
Come if you are able
Together we'll share this wealth

The sun did rise this morning
It cut through the sky like a knife
I heard the calling begin again
for some quiet moonlight
