Backs To The Wall
In the wall movie, a song entitled(i think) "backs to the wall" is used in place of "empty spaces". since "when the tigers broke free" ended up on the final cut and echoes album, i was wondering if anyone knew if this song landed on any of pink floyd's albums.

It's called "What Shall We Do Now" and it's not any albums.

Actually, "Empty Spaces" is in the film too -- just with slightly altered lyrics from the studio album.

yes, but if you notice, by the time it's over the animation for what shall we do now has already begun, so i figured that they were considered the same song

or you can buy pink floyd live in italy it comes with a bonis disk and it has WHAT SHALL WE DO NOW from the film and mother from film and alot of other songs.

Empty Spaces and What SHall We Do Now? were originally supposed to be put together on the album, but due to lack of time available on the album, they had to cut it out. Of course, they changed the lyrics slightly.
