| Re: Top 5 Back-to-Back Songs Oooh, I got 5 more! The Unfaithful Servant / King Harvest (Has Surely Come) - The Band: "The Band" Across the Universe / Let It Be - The Beatles: "Let It Be... Naked" Slowcar To China / Night Talk - Gary Numan: "Dance" Tonight Is the Night I Fell Asleep At the Wheel / Hidden Sun - Barenaked Ladies: "Maroon" Cool Cat / Under Pressure - Queen: "Hot Space" ... in every case: two beautiful songs that complement each other in so many amazing ways. Like two sides of the same coin (or two flipsides of a 7" single in the latter case). Last edited by Botley; 06-08-2005 at 02:38 PM. |

| Re: Top 5 Back-to-Back Songs Good stuff, and with everyone's permission....I think I'll go over 5. 1. Rush-YYZ/Limelight (Moving Pictures) Yes, the whole album is phenomenal and an argument could be made fir the Tom Sawyer/Red Barchetta duo too, but YYZ/Limelight is just glory 2. Metallica-Battery, Master of Puppets (Master of Puppets) When Metallica was at their best 3. Pink Floyd-Brain Damage/Eclipse-(Obvious I know, but too good not to list) 4. Rush-Double Agent/Leave that thing Alone (Counterparts) Obscure Yes, but the Rushians will know what I'm talking about 5. The Who- The Real Me/Quadrophenia (Quadrophenia)- Actually, this could be #2 for me. These 2 songs are the cream of the crop on the album. 6. Green Day-Letterbomb/Whatshername (American Idiot) Great ending to an amazing album 7. Guns N Roses-Welcome to the Jungle/It's So Easy (Appetite) |
