Boss GT-6 any good? I have also got the DG-20 kit with the EMG active pickups, I think that helped get a lot closer. I'm not sure about the zillion settings on the GT-6 though Any thoughts Steve Last edited by StevieC; 02-11-2005 at 01:09 AM.

well the gt-6 is the closest multi effect pedal in my opinion. ya it'll do, unless the money u make depends on how u play gilmour/floyd stuff then u might wanna buy seperate effects. And for the settings dont worry u can make ur own settings and itll get easy from there. It will take a good month for you to get used to the gt-6 but its worth it.

Remember that the GT8 has come out very recently. Not only does this mean there is a new kid on the block that you might want to take a look at, it means that very soon, the GT-6 price will drop considerably! Also, about price - look around a LOT! I was going to buy a GT-6 (before i opted to buy seperate effects), and i saw prices ranging from £400 to £250. Thats after intensive searching, but it really REALLY pays to look around! and like i said, i imagine the price will drop soon.

I have a friend with a GT-6, and he said you can craft any tone you want out of it. You just have to learn how to use it.

I have an Electric Mistress Deluxe, MXRPhase90, IBanez TS7 tubescreamer, russian big muff, MXR DYnacomp, and a BOSS DD-6... reckon itd be worth selling these pedals for a GT6? Im sick of frucking around with pedals... I take them to and from school everyday, and thats what appeals to me about the GT6 - Its simplicity.

Many on the Net speak highly of the GT-6 but say that the owners manual is utter crap. I see there is a 3rd party instructional DVd available. that might be worth a look as well

Re: Boss GT-6 any good? I know this is an old thread but new here so here goes. I have a GT6 and am working out tones. I have a nice DSOM fuzz working and just worked out the Shine on tone. I'm having a good bit of trouble working out the muff fuzz for his Wall tone. Anyone using this unit and have had success with sounds for The Wall and can give me some patch details to point me in the right direction? cheers
