Re: What Did You Do Today?

I went down to Barcelona after work and I bought "On an Island" which I'm listening to right now.

I also bought a mandolin! It's been a long time since I wanted to have one. I've been fooling around with it a little and I think that I will need quite a lot of practice to take a decent sound out of it, the fretboard is so damm narrow!

Cool!

What's the open tuning on one of those?

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Indeed, congrats!

I cleaned my apartment today, spent many miserable hours in the uni. gallery hanging a ridiculously complicated show, went to the Backwoods Grill for beer with lunch (and got a little drunk), then went back to campus and did a lot of dumb Kappa Pi crap.
I've been watching a 60 Minutes special on Jimmy Buffett since I got home and now I'm dying for it to be concert season. Looking forward to some Parrothead tailgating.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Spent a wonderful picnicky day with the lady (made a nice roast to eat by the spillway), and bought "On an Island."

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Went to a Kappa Pi meeting, bought some vinyl at some old vintage store in downtown Weston, went to a gallery of American glass, came back to campus and set up for the show opening tonight, then sat around the paintin studio for about an hour with friends plotting how to steal wooden easels and these super expensive chairs from our penthouse/extra gallery.
Don't mess with the art students, I'm tellin' ya...lol

Re: What Did You Do Today?

went to school. Then I saw a man that looked exactly like John Cleese in the subway, if it wasn't for the fact that he was rather small (I believe John Cleese is 6 foot something...) I would have been sure it was him. And then in the bus I was sitting next to a guy and I noticed after a while that he was listening to Animals and that he had an Animals t-shirt. Thing is, I was wearing the same t-shirt and was listening to the same album...kinda freaked me out.
