Re: What Did You Do Today?

My wife spilled her iced tea into her keyboard, so I took it apart and dried it all out, but it wouldn't work cause I probably busted a circuit in the flimsy-assed plastic circuitboard so I had to go buy a new one at Best Buy.

Took Income Tax info to my CPA.

Took an annoying math test, then cooled it down with a beer. Life is cruel.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Today, I went to the museum for an History of Art homework, bought a new pair of converse (to replace the old, torn and duck taped ones) and then when I took the subway, I saw a guy and a girl playing "Dogs" on accoustic guitars, they very pretty good so I stopped to listen.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Woke up and walked over to the college, went to the School of Ed. office with a friend to do some paperwork, did a bunch of paperwork and treasurer's stuff for Kappa Pi, spent some time with a couple friends, and came home to watch Sex and the City.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Went to my friend's house, blazed, went roof hopping, went to Honest Ed's to amuse ourselves.

Oh and I burned my mouth on some french fries. It was pretty unfortunate.

Woke up at 8:30, practiced driving. Watched Jarhead (great movie by the way), then went to the eyedoctor and got contacts.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

*sigh*

What a WONDERFUL last day of clinicals.

I got a card (my first) from a very sweet (and very brave) 6 year old kid. I gave her a big hug and a big kiss and had to walk out of the room because I was about to cry.

She was in for a double re-implant. Wouldn't complain of pain unless it was really unbearable. Tried to avoid pain meds as much as she could (despite me reassuring her that it was ok to ask for 'em). Very co-operative. VERY playful. Kept begging me to let her out of bed because she wanted to go to the playroom and play but I couldn't as she was on epidural and I was worried about her balance and control (and hence safety).

And today as I walked in at the start of the day, she surprised me with the card - she's left handed but couldn't use the hand as they had the IV in it and had armboarded (and immobilized) that arm.... so she painstakingly drew it with her right hand.

I was floating on air the rest of the day

Before I left, I secretly hid a bar of chocolate for her to find

I'm scanning the card tomorrow the moment the libraries open... I feel like a 6 year old who just made a good painting in art class

*sigh* Still feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. I think I'll go give my parents a call

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Woke up around 6am... had some some good ol' fashion cheerios. Got ready to meet the day, and now waiting until I have to go to court.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Went to gym class, then spent the afternoon with a friend, stalked a hot guy who wore very very tight pants...that's about it.
