Everyone's still going through the motions I see.

Nice.

Just how I remembered the place.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Participated in my first successful Code Blue on an adult human being.

My nerves are still somewhat jittery.

Was a very close thing in the end and if the code itself wasn't scary enough the 'outwardly tense but cool, calm and collected' nature of my co-workers was just mind blowing.

My respect for the code team just ratcheted up some 500%. To do THIS every freaking day of your life...

I mean !

Otherwise had a quiet day - dischared all three patients assigned to me today
Which means tomorrow will be horror of horrors - a floor full of brand new post-op patients!

Bet voting was worse... California's ballot was four pages of crooked schemes and gerrymandered candidates - and the poll was more crowded than last time. Go figure....

At least, there's nothing like the restored innocence of a clean refrigerator.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

How the hell can a ballot be four pages long?!!!

Me? I took a say off from work today. Woke up with the worst headache of my life and a bad upset stomach. I didn't feel near normal till well into the evening. I have NO idea what caused it - all I knew was that I was in some serious pain...

Also went down to Best Buy to take a look at some computers. I plan on buying a new one soon

Actually, the voting was easy. Yes, there was the usual glut of ACORN-inspired attempts to undermine the Constitution and so forth, but I had made myself a cheatsheet and zoomed through it. There was almost no one there (9:00am) although in other precincts there were 2-hour waits. Probably due to the legions of old grayhaired AARP-loving bastards who have no idea how to use a touchscreen voting computer.

Cleaning the fridge, however, was a bitch. But at least I can now find the beer.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Passed my theory test, bought earbuds for my iPod, read that Christopher Walken will be playing John 'Ozzy' Osbourne in a mooted Motley Crue biopic, traded regional insults with Cheese on Last.fm, did work, looked as sexy as a fat bloke with big hair can (who hasn't shaved).

Tonight I will have pitta bread and cheese.
