It's about two blocks east, not very far at all. I have to go to sleep now, but perhaps I'll see you in a few hours!

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Today I went to Cambridge and stood very near (but alas, not on) the area of grass outside Kings College that Roger credits with being his inspiration for the 'lunatic is on the grass' line in Brain Damage. I also made it to and from my girlfriend's place without getting lost. Amazing. I also had the conclusion forced upon me that good friends that you think that you know can be very different people when you live with them. Tomorrow, I will commence looking for another flat.

(The line about the pie is spoken during the song 'Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey' by one Denny Laine who also contributed some vox pop to a little-known album by Pink Floyd)

Went kayaking and camping, got a start of a tan. Packed everything up in the rain.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Today I put down a deposit on a lovely flat in the amusingly named 'Cockfosters' area. Myself, my inamorata and the cats shall bide there in ludicrously loved-up style and chalk this 2-odd month period of pandering to someones' neuroses and drunken prick boyfriend to experience.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Today I was referred to as a 'Singleton' today in manner of Bridget Jones and company.
Life is officially over before it has properly begun. Commence with the impending quarter life crisis.

The other highlight of today was picking my mother up from the ER after her misadventure in medicine.

I hate my life.

I should also add that if people are going to start making Bridget Jones references regarding me, then life/fate/whatever should at least be kind enough to have a Mark Darcy-esque figure to lower the suck quotient of things

Re: What Did You Do Today?

I took my son to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Enjoyable.
