Came to work, took lots of calls, sold some exhausts and some saddlebag supports, packaged things up, ate stuff.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Spent the first weekend off from work in a long time. In fact, I was on call - the first time since February. Hospital has been running packed for the past 2 months or so - no let up at all.

Overall, it's good business for the hospital but boy is it stressful! Especially for us poor slobs working nights ... we are over 50% understaffed! I don't bother asking for "time off" any more because I can already see my boss' grimace. I haven't had a day off due to low patient count since February this year

And as it is my night off, I'm going to celebrate it the proper way - am waiting for a buddy to come home from weekend drill and we're gonna pub crawl all night long...

But first, I need to clean up my apartment, a chore I've been putting off for weeks now. Plus, do laundry. Do some accounting (ugh!).

I'll probably end up procrastinating this today as well, but.... who knows?

And the quarterly income tax payment is right around the corner... I feel a sharp pain in the wallet.

re: Simon's post #2973

in the last couple months i've also noticed the Hospitals/Nursing Homes around here are extremely short handed and filled to capacity...

there is a waiting list to get into Nursing Homes i deal with...

at my wife's Hospital they have people lined up in hallway waiting to get into Intensive Care ,while they are using Agency Nurses because they are so short on RN's willing to work for almost $60,000 per year...

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Went to Warped Tour all fucking day. It was brutal, seriously the hottest day I have probably ever experienced. My entire upper body is sunburnt.

Before you say anything, I know Warped Tour is gay. I only went to see Flogging Molly and because a friend payed for me.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Warped Tour!? Insert joke about you being less of a person for attending warped tour, but just giving you a hard time because that's what some kinds of friends do.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

I just found out that today actually was the hottest day in Indiana since July 2002. Some places 105, some places 108. Christ.
