Good question! I shall need to Google it an see what comes up. Some really sharp writing in th Big Sleep, and some of the lines delivered by Bogey are excellent.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

I am currently enjoying a nice day off work, wondering if I'll go to the Beer Fest for a second day. I went yesterday and good golly, I had plenty of good products to drink for my money!
I'm also thinking about changing the strings on my accoustic guitar, to prepare it for wednesday as I'm starting guitar lessons...a friend of mine told me about it and I can't wait to see what comes out of this.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Back to work... for five minutes! I've gone to my school and I've seen the schedule for this week. Tomorrow we've got the first reunion of all the staff but today it was just a presentation day for the new teachers and since it is the third year that I'm working in this school... Next week we'll have the kids in class again and real work will start then.

I've rehearsed with the band in the afternoon. Jorge, the guy who was supposed to play guitar with us, can no longer join the project. He was really, really good and he had good influences (Robert Fripp mainly but he also listened to a lot of other stuff.) He lives some 30 km away from where we rehearse, he hasn't got a car, he had to carry a lot of equipment with him and he's got some health problems related with his back. All of this in combination with the fact that he's already working in another musical project where he lives (the Guitar Craft circle in Barcelona) made it impossible for him to become the fourth member of Bhangeerah But life carries on and we have begun the search for a fourth member again. We are also working on three new songs right now, no time to procrastinate!

I think Harvey Goldsmith said they weren't on sale yet as actual dates haven't been officially confirmed but the venue WILL be the O-2 Arena London. Premier Entertainments will be offering package tickets at £269 but there are even more expensive ones you can get at £369. I don't know who will be distributing those. I think its a case of sit tight until more official news.
Im going to get a loan myself and go by myself if I have to!!

Re: What Did You Do Today?

I saw the Harvey Goldsmith blurb saying not to buy tickets as they weren't officially on sale yet. If I see anything confirmed I will let you know ( please do the same thanks). It will be a fine excuse for me to go and visit young fixxy down in London.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

"Concert for Virginia Tech"

I just got back and it was amazing, all 5 hours of it.

First up was Phil Vassar, who was surprisingly pretty good for his 20min on stage.

Next was NAS... I'm not big into rap so I didn't really enjoy it, nor could I understand anything he said.

Third was John Mayer, who to me is the biggest waste of talent ever. He'll start a song with a really good lick on the guitar, but then he starts singing...... and the song is ruined. He needs to be the guitarist in a band and let someone else do the singing.

Lastly was my second favorite artist behind Pink Floyd: Dave Matthews. This was the second time in the last month that I saw him live, he is soooo good. I hope to see him many more times in the upcoming years.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Did a bit of research on 'bike dealerships in uppermost London that I'm going to send my CV to, after my last boss overstocked with shiny bits for metric cruisers and Harleys, then watched both the worm and, crucially, the weather turn, so couldn't keep me on beyond the end of last month.

Dave had a few guys from the Roots on stage with him, one of whom was wearing a Pink Floyd shirt.

The Roots are awesome, shame they had to share the stage with Dave Mathews.

Tomorrow at 4pm, the Zep are releasing an official anouncement and this is when I assume ticket details and date of release will be announced. I'll post again in a day about it.
