Re: What Did You Do Today?

More work.

Today one of my students who also plays guitar in a group has asked me if we could listen to "Sweet Child O' Mine" in the English class. We sometimes listen to songs in class and we do exercises about the lyrics and talk a bit about them. I don't know; I could play this song (I think that the lyrics are not particularly difficult) but I'm afraid that most of the students won't like it.

There is a new teacher who is like 50 something or almost 60 years old. He was talking to another teacher of a similar age about music -about Blood Sweat and Tears and Iron Butterfly specifically- and I have joined in the conversation. He was quite surprised that I was very familiar with all those groups and their work since I'm merely 32 years old but, well, a lot of people in this site who are even much younger are also acquainted with them. Good music trascends age barriers!

Today; I paid 75euros on exam fees when it said in the letter it was only going to be 50!! I'm very cross.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Last week I found an old roll of exposed film and had no idea what was on it. I got it developped and turns out it was the test film of some plastic fisheye camera I bought last year. The pictures turned out pretty cool, I'll try to scan some of the best and post them.

On another note I wonder if they're going to find another kid snorting coke next to the sinks in the changing rooms at work. Don't bring drugs in a military base guys, it's definitly NOT a good idea.

I still love Sanrio stuff...I've got a Hello Kitty decorated bathroom.
When I finally get to move into my house, it'll be there, too.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Went shopping in the morning. Bought a new winter jacket. Came back home. Had lunch. Went out for a walk in the snow. Smoked a couple of cigarettes. Got back home. Am currently getting really bored. Will go out for a beer in the evening. Got no money, but I sure hope my friends do. Ah, life.

Jello shots contributed to one very wild Halloween party I attended a few years ago.

Consequently, I no longer eat watermelon jello.

I spent the morning trying to ready my house for me to move in. Very long process, indeed.
