| Re: What Did You Do Today? Took my computer to pieces and gave it a thorough clean out inside, it had got very dusty. And now I'm trying to re-encode all the music on it to a lower bitrate so I can fit more on my mp3 player. The long winter nights just fly by ![]()

| Re: What Did You Do Today? this morning the weather was very bad, it was snowing a lot and the roads were a bit dangerous so I tought best to take the bus 10 minutes earlier so I wouldn't arrive late at school. I don't know if there was an accident or something but we got stuck in terrible traffic (usually inexistent at this hour of the day) and I ended up arriving nearly an hour late to school. since my class is only one hour and a half long I didn't bother going, it was almost over. so I came back home. a total of 2 hours and a half in the freakin bus for absolutely nothing. I was rather angry.

| Re: What Did You Do Today? Worked 9 hours revising a tedious job. Celestial Seasonings building in Boulder. Ever see the movie The Thing where the cuddly dog explodes into the hideous slimy gastly multi-tenticled monster? That's this job. Don't drink their tea. It sucks. Baking my first cake. Just put it in the oven.

| Re: What Did You Do Today? Today I started replying to someone's message on Myspace and watched it slowly turn into an e-mail of such a disturbing size I find it too awkward and embarrassing to even send it out at all, the person it is meant for isn's really supposed to know I write such e-mails so it's a waste of time and effort. I already knew there were large e-mails that sometimes makes people say ''wow that's a long e-mail'' but today I found there's also LARGE e-mails that are too disturbing to send out but did cost a lot of time and effort to create and should therefor not be thrown away just like that. It's a dilemma, should I just send it away and don't waste all that time I spent writing it but probably end up scaring people or should I make sure no one but me ever gets confronted with it and end up giving it all that time and effort for nothing? Hmm, I just realise I could of course also make it shorter but that should be done later today when I'm more sensible. Silly post this is indeed, but I am nothing but a regular member so I can. ![]()

| Re: What Did You Do Today? Just now I got scared to death as suddenly someone attempted to open the door from the outside, turned out to be the usual midnight fool who should know by now I always lock my door. I kicked him out soon after because of the awful alcohol smell he carried with him, people with alcohol on their breath are always bad news and should be avoided at all costs. No alcohol allowed here in my garage, that's for sure. Can't stand that bollocks.

| Re: What Did You Do Today? Tomorrow is it's cleaning day again, about time I get rid of that awful brown spot that ended up there a few days ago. Multiple attempts of pissing it away failed so tomorrow it's time for some action.

| Re: What Did You Do Today? I hate doing the work though, especially when I accidentally forgot to sleep a night or two it can be a very hard task. I'm always glad when it's done and it's ready once again for another week of action.

| Re: What Did You Do Today? Yes, you're quite right. Don't forget ! It is so very important for our health! I have just finished correcting some compositions from my students in the last year of secondary school (just before going to university)... ...AAAARGGHHH!! They are a linguistic nightmare, a grammatical holocaust, an atrocious devastation of the English language! Grrrr! They were supposed to be inhabitants of the beautiful island of Molokai writing to a Spanish pen-friend about their wonderful land and culture. Here are some examples: -"We will go to a restaurants for to eat a lot of delicious insects." -"Me liked a lot that you told me many things of Barcelona, it seems very beautifull!" -"I'm writting you of speak about my country." -"I writing to you because want explicate where is my country." (but then she doesn't say anything about Hawaii's location...) -"In general, the best and interesting places in Molokai are the beaches, and parties traditionals." -"It is the place very special because de lands are very big, very to flower and the climate is tropical." -"Always do hot, and in winter do very cold." -"I invited for you this summer because us to happen very good!" And the thing goes on and on and on mercilessly violating every possible grammatical rule that happens to be on their way... I mean, I could understand those mistakes being made in the first year of secondary school but those people have been receiving English lessons for more than 7 years now and they still make basic mistakes like forgetting about the subject, writing the adjectives after the nouns or writing adjectives in plural. Some of them will go to university next September and in most degrees they will have to deal with English in one way or the other... The education system in Spain is SO INCREDIBLY AWFUL... I'll give a listen to "Echoes" to forget about all this. ![]() |

In Portugal, movies at the cinemas and at the TV are never doubled to Portuguese language. Are you teacher?

| Re: What Did You Do Today? I learned English from the telly actually, I'm glad we don't overdub it like the French and Germans. English movies overdubbed in German always seem silly to me.
