Re: What Did You Do Today?

Dude, I tried to throw a snowball at my friend KOB today, and he got all sandy and tried to kick me. lol

Umm, yeah, anyway... Today I took down a show in the uni. gallery, went to lunch with my friends, had an area studies critique, worked on Whetstone, went to super fun art teaching class, spent some time with a friend, and came home and spent the last nine hours making art! It was fabulous and awesome and all the really awesome perks of being an artist put together. (I've been in an inspirational rut that I finally broke through tonight and I'm still a bit high off the experience.)

I also wrote a new artist's statement for an art scholarship evaluation I have tomorrow.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

I never got round to snowballing the kids.

Today, or last night actually, I was having the most amazing time watching the crescent moon with my brand new telescope; saw all the craters and everything so perfectly clearly. I was wondering why the image kept moving slowly out of view - thought for a moment that the tripod was sinking. Then it dawned of me I was watching the moon orbit. A very simple thing yet incredibly moving. I actually even had a funny tingly feeling in my stomach, though I don't know why.

After that I managed to find Saturn, and could just make out the rings. Needless to say, that just blew me away.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Ahh, the magic of space...

Didn't do much today. I bought a new cover for my bed because I'm sick of the old one. I mostly just hung out at my friends' house drinking Jack and Cokes this afternoon.
Now I'm watching Grease and trying to clean up the mess we call an apartment.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Good luck on that one, but I often find that Jack and Cokes are not actually conducive to getting, y'know, domestic stuff done, generally!

Re: What Did You Do Today?

I'm afraid you're right...I've done nothing but sit here drinking water and smoking. Ah well.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Nothing wrong with it (apart from the smoking).

No, Axe Victim did.

The only thunder that could be stolen from you would be by Armin Meiwes.

Re: What Did You Do Today?

Woke up. Took a subway to the empire state building..went through security checks and vast elevator lines. Viewed NYC from the highest building there. Took the subway to Central Park and walked around for a bit. Took the subway back toward Times Square. Ate Lunch at Ray's Pizza across from the Hampton Inn I was lodging in with my friend and his family. Took a shuttle to the airport...flew home.
